Street UMC Preschool has been a mission of Ann Street United
Methodist Church since 1972. It began in response to the need of the
community for a preschool environment for young children. Since
then, it has become one of the area’s most successful preschools.
Our Preschool strives to offer
children and their families a safe, nurturing environment to explore
all the wonderful possibilities of childhood. We have grown over the
years to offer a variety of programs to the families of our
community. We offer a highly trained and motivated staff who are
dedicated to their careers as early childhood professionals. We are
proud to have small group sizes and low children-to-teacher ratios.
We constantly strive to maintain our standard of excellence and to
seek opportunities for improvement.
We, at Ann Street UMC Preschool,
want each child to be given the opportunity to develop at their own
pace and to feel comfortable in their learning environment.
We strive to provide a stimulating
intellectual environment to encourage their natural curiosity and
problem solving skills. We try to promote the child’s self esteem so
that they value their own opinions and understand their right to
express them.
We encourage the child’s moral and
spiritual growth and awareness through prayer, music, personal
example, and teaching the lessons of the Bible.
We are very proud to serve as a
mission of Ann Street United Methodist Church and of our role as
advocates for the children and families of our community.
We invite you to visit our
preschool during the regular operating hours of Monday-Friday, 7:30
am - 5:30pm. Tours are available during the Director's working hours
from 8:30am to 2:30pm. |
